Our Mission
The Bev and Greg Youth Society aims to support young people in our community, thoughtfully directing our resources toward programs and opportunities that advance youth education and opportunities.
Bev and Greg McCartney
Bev and Greg were good people. They naturally saw the best in all of us and recognized everyone as completely unique. No matter who you were, you were loved. Bev and Greg showed this love by always having an open door, always being happy to serve up a big dinner, greasy breakfast and everything in between. If you needed a roof over your head and a bed to sleep in, they never second guessed putting you up.
Bev and Greg had a special connection to their kids and their kids friends. Those kids were loved and never judged; Bev and Greg were there in full support.
Having passed in 2017 and 2020 respectively, both at the young age of 66, their kids and kids friends are finding ways to both honor the legacy of this incredible couple and raise some money for kids and programming who could use it.
BGYS Scholarship Award
The BGYS Scholarship Award supports local youth by providing modest financial assistance to help them pursue education, training, or personal development opportunities.
